US Bancorp, Strategic Planning & Market Research, 1982-90
As Vice President for this large and rapidly expanding bank holding company, Ann Witsil identified and supported new business and market expansion. She developed business plans for new inter-state and non-bank financial services, such as discount brokerage businesses, insurance services, and innovative ATM network services. Ann led a team of research analysts who were responsible for tracking business performance and for clarifying market opportunities. She facilitated corporate strategy planning - propelling profitable growth of the bank holding company internationally.

Oregon Bio-technology Innovation Center (OBIC)
Collaboration Analysis, 2002

Reviewed the historical impact and current status of a ten-year collaborative venture by OHSU, City of Portland, PDC, Oregon Economic Development and private developers - which supported the development and commercialization of bio-science businesses in the Portland area. The project included in-depth interviews with key stakeholders and investors, a re-cap of historical files and an assessment of the critical factors required for successful incubation and growth of regional bio-science and bio-tech businesses. Findings identified critical lessons learned and alternative approaches for similar future pursuits which were incorporated in strategic recommendations for Portland growth opportunities.

Educational Foundation Development for Community School, 1988
Led the design and development of the first educational foundation for a Portland Public school to receive financial contributions from community members and businesses in lieu of eliminated state funding. The process and protocols of the foundation became a model for similar foundations at both the district and community level throughout the region and have successfully raised funds to meet many school staff needs throughout Portland.

Committee of Spanish Speaking People of Oregon (COSSPO)
Coached management team of this regional non-profit agency which provided transitional support services for Spanish-speaking immigrants. Conducted management training, facilitated strategic planning and financial implementation plan which secured annual funding, initiated self-sustaining economic development opportunities and created credibility and support from regional agencies in order to sustain outreach to and programs for ever-changing and needy client population.

DaVinci Arts Middle School Strategic Plan
Ann facilitated a series of faculty and administrative retreats, which resulted in the development of a broadly supported strategic improvement plan for this fledgling Portland middle school focusing on the arts. The plan addressed aggressive yet attainable academic, artistic and community involvement goals and created new opportunities for developing integrated curriculums across disciplines.

Working Solutions, Inc., Vice President of Sales & Marketing
International provider of enhanced employee benefit services including employee assistance programs, dependent care resource and referral, and management training. Developed and led implementation of aggressive sales and marketing strategies, creating new partnerships with national associations and health insurance groups. Led marketing team which successfully met annual sales goals of over $500,000.
